Susan Jo Raine

Susan J. Raine, 71 of New Boston, died Monday, November 15, 2021, at Genesis Medical Center, Aledo. Graveside services are Monday, November 22, 2021, at 2:30 PM at the New Boston Cemetery. Visitation is prior to services from 12 to 2 PM at Speer Funeral Home, Aledo. Memorials may be made to the Raine Family.

Susan Jo was born on April 18, 1950, in Dearborn, Michigan to Eugene & Joy (Patton) Smith. She worked for General Motors in Detroit before moving to Illinois, where she worked in Home Healthcare and Babysitting. Susan and Richard Raine were married May 12, 1990.

Sue was an avid reader, enjoyed puzzle books and surfing the internet. She enjoyed keeping in touch with her family and friends on Facebook.

Sue is survived by her husband, Richard; brother’s-in-law: David, Terry, Roy, Rodger and Jeff; siblings: Ellen Pratt, Cindy Wass, Nathaniel Smith, Nancy Ann Smith, Patrick Bledsoe, Michael Bledsoe and Kate Kerley. She was preceded in death by her parents.
