Susan Kay Dobbins

Susan K. Dobbins, 57 of Aledo, died February 6, 2021 at her home. Memorial services will be Thursday, February 18, 2021 at 3:00 PM at Speer Funeral Home, Aledo. Per Susan’s wishes, cremation was accorded. Condolences may be left at speerfuneralhome.com.

Susan was born on February 22, 1963 in Le Claire, Iowa to Clarence & Evelyn (Vance) Stotlar. She received her associate degree in Nursing and worked in Home Health Care and was also a Realtor.

Susan was an avid reader and had recently taken up vegetable and flower gardening with her move to Aledo. She also enjoyed caring for her rescue animals.

Susan is survived by her children: James (Shauna) Smith of Coyne Center; Sean Dobbins of Nevada, Iowa; a grandson, Logan Smith; brothers, Mike and Mark Stotlar and special friends: Anita, Deb, Lindsay and Florence and niece, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Scotty and Colleen.
