Ronald “Ronnie” K. Stineman, 83 of New Boston, died Monday at his home. Funeral services will be Thursday at 11:00 AM at the New Boston United Methodist Church. Burial will be in New Boston Cemetery. Visitation is Wednesday from 4 to 7 PM at the church. Memorials may be made to the New Boston United Methodist Church. Speer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Ronnie was born On February 25, 1935 in New Boston, Illinois to John “Jack” & Jane (Artcher) Stineman. He married Audrey Schell on January 22, 1954 in Rock Island.
Ronnie was a Supervisor with General Asphalt when he retired, after having worked in the asphalt industry for many years. He was a member of the Local Laborers #309. In his spare time, he enjoyed gardening, yardwork, dancing with Audrey and was well known for his talent at Pool. He was also a member of the New Boston Masonic Lodge. Ronnie cherished the time spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Those left to cherish Ronnie’s memory include his wife, Audrey; Children & spouses: Kim & Michael Bloxam of Palm Harbor, FL; Kathy Brislawn, and Keith & Deb Stineman all of New Boston; siblings: Jerry Stineman & June Kranz of New Boston; Barbara Sloan of Chicago; Shirley Van Hook of East Moline and Jaci & Jack McCollum of Indio, CA; 9 grandchildren; 17 Great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren and one lovingly expected. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Cheryl.
