Lori Elaine Spilman

A memorial gathering to celebrate the life of Lori E. (Chandler) Spilman, 54 of Waterloo, Iowa, formerly of the Quad Cities, will be held on Saturday, June 17th from 12:00 – 2:00 PM at the Green Rock Free Will Baptist Church, Colona. Memories will be shared at 2:00 PM. Lori was visiting her daughter in Aledo, when she died on June 9, 2017. Another service will be held in Evansdale, Iowa at a later date. Memories may be shared or condolences may be left at www.speerfuneralhome.com. Lori was born on January 4, 1963 in Munich, Germany to Ronald & Dolores “Doris” (Dean) Chandler. She married Edward Spilman on February 14, 2000 at the Grand Ole Opry, Nashville, TN. Lori was devoted to her family and enjoyed spending time with them while camping, fishing and having cookouts. She cherished her church family at Faith Assembly of God in Evansdale, Iowa. Lori spoiled her canine companions, Riley, Kiko and Bella. Those left to cherish Lori’s memory include her husband: Ed Spilman of Waterloo; children: Michael Griffiths & companion, Terri Meyers of Rio; Sara & James Murray of Aledo and Ashley Spilman and companion, Martin St. Clair of Rock Island; her mother: Doris Chandler; Grandmother, Lois Dean and brother & sister-in-law: Larry & Sherri Chandler all of Rio; Grandchildren: Emily, Madison, Michael, Mitchel, Jacob, Mikenna, Emily, Ethan, Kaylee, Josephine, Emmily, Tiffany and Martin. Lori was preceded in death by her father; an infant sister, Lisa and a daughter, Michelle Chandler.
