Lois Dean

Lois Geraldine Dean, 103 of Malden, Missouri, formerly of the Quad Cities, died Friday, October 22, 2021 at her granddaughters home, surrounded by her family. Graveside services will be November 6, 2021, at 10:30 AM at the Edgington Cemetery, Edgington, Illinois. A celebration of her life will be held from 11:45 AM to 2:00 PM at St. Matthews Lutheran Church, 115 West 12^th Ave., Milan. Speer Funeral Home, Aledo is assisting the family.

Lois was born on June 15, 1918 in Andalusia, Illinois to John & Minnie (Dusenberry) Sedam. She married Carl R. Dean in 1934. He preceded her in death in 1967. She was also preceded in death by 2 sons, Warren & Gerald Dean; son-in-law, Ron Chandler; 10 siblings; 3 grandchildren: Larry Chandler, Lori Spillman, and Lisa Chandler and great-grandchildren: Michelle and Mason.

Lois enjoyed life and spending time with her family and especially her church family in Colona. She had a faithful canine companion, Beemer. Lois enjoyed watching game shows, especially Wheel of Fortune. She really enjoyed Celebrating her 100^th birthday on a cruise with 15 family members and friends.

Lois is survived by her daughter, Dolores “Doris” Chandler of Missouri; 15 Grandchildren; 58 great-grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
