Kenneth L. Whitehall

Mr. Kenneth Whitehall, 90, of Aledo IL, died Monday, February 4, 2019 at Hope Creek Care Center in East Moline, IL. Surrounded by his loving family. The visitation will be held Saturday, February 9th at Speer Funeral Home from 9am-11am, with the service immediately following.

Kenny was born on November 10, 1928 in Keithsburg Illinois to Roy and Hazel Whitehall. He was one of ten children. Kenny served in the Navy during the South Korean War, from September of 1948 to September of 1952 aboard the USS Pittsburgh. Shortly after leaving the Navy, he met and married the love of his life, Shirley Ann Vipond. They were married for 57 years and had three children. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley, his parents, and nine siblings

Left to cherish his memories are Les Whitehall, married to Janine Whitehall and their three daughters Ashley, Brittany, and Kelsey. Laura Gift and her two daughters Tabitha Young and Paige Barber, married to Jerico Barber, and great-grandson Brodie Barber. Lane Whitehall, married to Ledith Whitehall and their two daughters Elyse Whitehall and Haley Anderson, married to Nathan Anderson and great-grandchildren, Tannen, Parker and Jordi, and brother Kurt Whitehall.
