Jacquelyn "Jackie" S. Stropes

Jacquelyn “Jackie” S. Stropes, 72 of Aledo, died Wednesday September 23, 2020 at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf, Iowa. Private family services will be held. Jackie was born on June 21, 1948 in Rock Island to Julius and Evon (DuPree) Lanoo. She married Edward Stropes on April 8, 1967. Jackie enjoyed raising her family, caring for her home and her hummingbirds. In earlier years Jackie and Ed enjoyed fishing and camping.

Jackie is survived by her husband of 53 years, Ed; children and spouses: Lisa & Don Hedger of Viola; DeWayne Stropes and companion, Annette of Taylor Ridge and Shawn & Sherry Stropes of Aledo; Grandchildren: T.J. Hedger, DeWayne “Dewi” Stropes, Taelor Stropes and Samantha Stropes; 6 great-grandchildren and siblings: Ed, Judy, Ron, Jenny & Joey. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister and brother.
