Eleanor P. Lloyd

Eleanor P. Lloyd, 93 of Aledo, died Saturday, February 13, 2021 at Brookstone of Aledo. Private family services will be held at Messiah Lutheran Church, with burial in Aledo Cemetery. Open visitation will be on Wednesday from 12 to 6 PM at Speer Funeral Home, Aledo. The family will not be present. Memorials may be made to the Messiah Lutheran Church and condolences may be left at speerfuneralhome.com.

Eleanor Pauline was born on July 13, 1927 to Tracy & Dorothy (Johnson) Morris. She married Louis Lloyd on March 3, 1950 at Messiah Lutheran Church, Aledo. Eleanor and Louis farmed east of Aledo.  

Eleanor was a lifelong member of Messiah Lutheran Church where she was active in WELCA. She was a talented quilter and a member of the Mercer County Quilt Guild. Eleanor was also a member of the Genesis Medical Center Auxiliary, and the Mercer County Farm Bureau, where she enjoyed attending Primetimers.  

Eleanor is survived by her son and daughter’s in law: Tom & Kyle Lloyd and Dawn Lloyd; sister and brother-in-law: Martha & Elden Cirks all of Aledo; grandchildren: Traci & Jake Ellsworth; Joanne & Jason Beeler; Matt Lloyd and Adam Lloyd and great-grandchildren: Danielle & Nicholas Beeler. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Louis; son, Dan Lloyd and a sister, Marjorie Taylor.
