Dana Lynn was born on October 26, 1948, in Laager, Tennessee to Calvin LeRoy 7 Margaret L. (Golston) Caldwell. She was previously married to Donald “Gump” DeFrieze for 28 years.

Dana was a home body, except when it was time to play cards. She never missed her time at the New Boston Community Center and the Keithsburg Fire Station where she would play Euchre or Pitch. Dana also enjoyed a good Bingo game and watching cooking shows or game shows on TV.
