Services for Beverly A. Frieden, 71 of New Boston, will be Friday at 1:30 PM at Speer Funeral Home, Aledo. Burial will be in the New Boston Cemetery. Visitation is Thursday from 4 to 8 PM at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Beverly Frieden Memorial Fund.
Beverly died suddenly at her home on Tuesday, November 28, 2006.
Beverly Ann was born on November 20, 1935 in Oquawka, Illinois to Frank & Elveree (McClain) Endicott. She married Wilbur Frieden on March 11, 1955 at the Aledo Assembly of God parsonage.
Beverly was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who planned for Christmas all year long. It was her favorite holiday. She was also a dedicated charter member of Grace Chapel, Joy where she enjoyed music by playing the piano and singing. Beverly often visited shut-ins. She enjoyed her part-time job at Axline Phamacy in Monmouth.
Beverly is survived by her husband of 51 years, Wilbur; 2 sons and daughters-in-law: Rex & Carol of Keithsburg and Dan & Tina of Joy; 5 grandchildren: Melissa, Amanda, Kiel, Savanah & Madison Frieden and one great-grandson, Anthony Whitford; 5 brothers and their wives; Ed & Paula Endicott of Monmouth; Gary & Lana Endicott of Oregon; John & Tressa Coursey of Monmouth; Charles Coursey of California and Steve & Kathy Coursey of Galesburg and 4 sisters: Shirley Steinert, Sandra Axline & husband, Bill and Ruth Foley all of Monmouth and Maydean Simpson of California. Beverly was preceded in death by her parents.
