Mary Jo McLee

Mary Jo McLee, 75 of Keithburg, went to be with her loving husband Jerry and her Lord on October 2, 2010 at Trinity Rock Island. Her family was at her side. Services will be Tuesday at 10:30 AM at the First Christian Church, Keithsburg. Burial will be in Greenmound Cemetery. Visitation is Monday from 4 to 7 PM at the First Christian church. Memorials may be made to the Mary Jo McLee Memorial Fund for a donation to be made to the First Christian Church in Mary Jo and Jerry’s name. Speer Funeral Home, Aledo is in charge of arrangements. Mary Jo Nylin was born on December 18, 1934 to Wilson “Jake” and Anna (Ortery) Nylin. She was united in marriage to Gerald “Jerry” McLee on March 25, 1951 in Aledo. He preceded her in death on February 3, 1999. Mary Jo was a member of the First Christian Church, Keithsburg and enjoyed reading and doing crossword puzzles and word searches. She cherished the time she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Those left to cherish Mary Jo’s memory are her daughter and son-in-law: Deb & Keith Stineman of New Boston; 5 granddaughters and their families: Missy & Carl Carlson and their sons, Seth and Luke of Granvillle, IL; Mandi and Michael Wilkens of Wenona, IL; Michelle and Evan Marston and their daughters, Brylee, Kinzee and Tenlee of New Boston; Megan Stineman of New Boston and Merri Stineman and Isaiah Phillips and their daughter, Ilee of New Boston; and a brother and sister-in-law: Rick and Marian Nylin and Sarah of Davenport. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brothers, Harold Nylin and Jerry “Butch” Nylin.
