Joel Franklin Puckett

A time of remembrance for Joel F. Puckett, 49 of Millersburg, will be held at 7:00 PM on Wednesday at the New Boston United Methodist Church. Visitation will be held immediately prior to services, beginning at 5:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Joel Puckett Memorial Fund. Speer Funeral Home is assisting the family. Joel died on Saturday, August 14, 2010 at his home. Joel Franklin Puckett was born on May 24, 1961 in Aledo to Jack & Peggy (LeHew) Puckett. He married the former Sandy Sowder on January 17, 2007 in New Boston. Joel loved spending time outdoors, especially: hunting, fishing, mushrooming, paintballing, boating and muddin’. He also loved spending time with family and friends telling stories. A favorite pastime was karaoke. Those left to cherish Joel’s memory include his wife, Sandy; sons: Dustin Puckett and Aaron Kernan, of New Boston and Cody Puckett of Cartersville, GA; step-children: Danielle, Daniel, Dillon and Dalton Hutt of Millersburg; his parents: Jack & Peggy Puckett of New Boston; brothers and their wives: Montie & Teresa Schell; Jack E. “Gene” & Heather Puckett and Rickie Puckett all of New Boston and a sister and her husband, Monica & Dave Ruddy of West Branch.
