Memorial Services for Richard E. Brown, 86 of Aledo, will be held on Friday, April 7th at 11:00 AM at College Avenue Presbyterian Church, Aledo. Visitation was changed to Thursday evening from 4 to 7 PM at Speer Funeral Home. Private burial will be in Aledo Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Churches of Mercer County Food Pantry. Richard died Thursday, March 30, 2017 at Avonlea Cottage, Milan. Richard was born on June 15, 1930 in Davenport, Iowa to Emery G. & Ruth Mergaline (Decker) Brown. He served his country in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War. Richard and Vivian Dellitt were married on September 9, 1962 at the Enon Church. Richard farmed in Ohio Grove Township, prior to retirement. He served on both the Ohio Grove Township Board and the McPherren Cemetery Board. Richard is survived by his wife, Vivian; children and their spouses: Hugh & Sarah Brown of Aledo; Richelle & Rob Arsenault of Riverside, CA; grandchildren: Declan and Kaela Arsenault and Mason, Emily and Holly Brown. He was preceded in death by his parents.
