JoAnne Kozelichki, 83 of Alexis, died Wednesday at OSF St. Anthony’s Hospital, Rockford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday at 1:00 PM at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church, Aledo. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery, Viola. Visitation is Saturday from 11:00 AM – 1:00PM at Speer Funeral Home, Aledo. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or St. Catherine’s Catholic Church.
JoAnne Marie was born on August 20, 1932 in Monmouth, Illinois to Bert & Evelyn (Martin) Morgan. She married Anton Kozelichki on April 18, 1949. He preceded her in death in 2000.
JoAnne was employed in Food Service for many years working for Monmouth College, Northern Illinois University, Del Monte and retiring from Mercer County Hospital. Her true vocation was raising her family. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, camping and cherished the time spent with grandchildren.
Those left to cherish JoAnne’s memory include her children: Joe Kozelichki (Judy Nace) of Sully, IA; Terri (Touie) White of Rochelle, IL; Patty (Ken) Boehle of Ashton, IL; Roselyn (Darrell) Isley of Roscoe, IL; Marie (Andy) McCannon and Trudy (Mike Anning) Dvorak all of Ashton, IL; 13 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren and one lovingly expected and 1 great-great-grandson. JoAnne was preceded in death by her parents; husband and daughter-in-law, Debbie Kozelichki.
