Jim R. Hajostek, 63 of Aledo, died Thursday, February 11, 2016 at his home. Memorial services will be Monday at 7:00 PM at Speer Funeral Home, Aledo. Visitation is Monday from 5 to 7 PM, prior to services. Private burial will be at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Jim Hajostek Memorial Fund.
Jim was born on April 30, 1952 to John & Shirley (Craft) Hajostek. He graduated from Sherrard High School. Jim and Joyce (Litwiler) were married on October 21, 1972 in Perryton.
Jim worked as a teamster for local #371. He also drove heavy equipment and enjoyed the work his father had taught him. He loved to fish, feed and watch the birds, fabrication, and especially his three miniature donkey: Hee, Haw & Her. Jim loved being with his family and teasing the grandkids.
Jim is survived by his wife, Joyce; 2 sons: Josh (Melissa) Hajostek and Jate Hajostek both of Aledo; one daughter, Jacy Hajostek of East Moline; 7 grandchildren: Jarrett, Kaylee, Jessie, Trevor, Kalan, Jersey & Jema; mother, Shirley Hajostek of Sherrard; sisters: Jan Harker of Florida and Joyce (Donnie) Howlett of Aledo; brothers: John (Jerilyn) Hajostek, Jr. of Monmouth and Joe Hajostek of Sherrard. He was preceded in death by his father and a nephew, Brandon Howlett.
