Florence M Louck

Funeral services for Florence M. Louck, 90 of Aledo, will be Tuesday at 11:00 AM at the Aledo United Methodist Church. Burial is at the National Cemetery, Rock Island Arsenal. Visitation is Tuesday, prior to services from 9:30 – 11:00 AM at the church. Memorials may be made to the United Methodist Church Van Fund. Speer Funeral Home, Aledo is assisting the family. Florence died on August 26, 2015 at Genesis Senior Living, Aledo. Florence Mae was born on April 23, 1925 in Millersburg, Illinois to Mason & Nellie (Hicks) Jennings. She married Farrell R. Louck on May 18, 1946 in Belaire, Maryland. He preceded her in death on October 27, 1986. Florence retired from the WestMer School district after teaching 5th grade at the New Boston Elementary School for many years. Florence was an active member of the Aledo United Methodist Church, serving on various committees within the church. She loved to read and enjoyed traveling with friends. Florence cherished the time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Those left to cherish Florence’s memory include her children: Diane Olds of Mt. Carroll, IL; Elaine Truitt of Chandler, AZ; Charles & Beth Louck of Bloomington, IL and David Louck of Aledo; grandchildren: Chris Truitt, Sarah & Chad Ward, Nathan & Nicole Olds, Valerie Louck & Lori Kinzer and Greg & Janelle Louck; Great-grandchildren: Isaac Ward; Avery, Ethan & Ainslee Olds, Lauren Louck and Emma Yokel. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband and a son-in-law, Edward Olds.
