Jean Struble

Jean Struble, 85 of Aledo, died Saturday, May 9, 2015, at Genesis Senior Living, Aledo. Funeral Services are Tuesday at 11:00 AM at Speer Funeral Home, Aledo, where visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until the time of services. Burial will be in Hamlet Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Jean Struble Memorial Fund. Lois Jean McCaw was born on January 19, 1930 to Ernest & Nettie (Russell) McCaw. She married Vern Struble on February 4, 1950. He preceded her in death on January 21, 2003. Jean worked by her husband’s side on the family farm in Duncan Township for 53 years. She was a member of the Gideons; Mercer County Farm Bureau and their Prime Timers Group and Antioch Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Mission Circle and held various offices. Jean is survived by her children and their spouses: Steve & Adell Struble and Marcia & Warren Lloyd; a sister and brother-in-law: Joyce & Earl Robbins; 7 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband and a brother and sister in infancy.
