Memorial services will be Wednesday at 6 p.m. at Speer Funeral Home, Aledo, with visitation from 4 to 6 p.m. prior to services. Memorials may be made to the Sue Corwin Memorial Fund.
Sue Ellen was born on Sept. 2, 1953, in Aledo, to Robert E. and Emma E. Fordham Hofmann. She married Don Corwin in 1994, in Aledo. He preceded her in death on Jan. 22, 2015.
Sue had recently retired from working at Brookstone, Aledo, where she was a cook. She had previously worked at Save A Lot and as a correctional officer. Sue was the type of person to always put others before herself. This showed not only in her love of her family, but also in her love for animals, especially wolves and cats. She was a member of the ASPCA. In her spare time she enjoyed crime novels and horror movies and cherished the time spent with grandchildren.
Those left to cherish Sue's memory include her son and daughter-in-law, Daniel and Tiana Corwin, Lewisburg, Tenn.; daughters and sons-in-law, Kristina and Jason Poteete, Lewisburg, and Michele and Mike Davis, New Market, Tenn.; her grandchildren, Brooklyn, Wil, Grace, Ethan, Taylor, Gary Jon, Ian and Braelyn; and many cousins, aunts and uncles. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
