Services for David E. Cooper, 46 of Indianapolis, Indiana, formerly of Aledo, will be Monday at 10:30 AM at Speer Funeral Home. Burial will be in Aledo Cemetery. Visitation is Sunday from 2 to 6 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in David’s name at Country Bank, Aledo. David died on Tuesday, November 11, 2008 at St. Francis Hospital, Mooresville, Indiana. David was born on January 19, 1962 in Rushville, Illinois to Milford M. & Martha L. (McDonald) Cooper. He was a 1980 graduate of Aledo High School. David was currently employed with Weber Concrete as a Foreman, having been with them over 10 years. David was a devoted father, coaching his daughters ASA Heartland Softball teams. He also loved to race his truck and 4-wheelers and drive in local Demolition Derbies. He enjoyed slow-pitch softball, and excelled at pitching. David was a great mechanic and enjoyed rebuilding engines. In later years, he cherished the time spent with his grandchildren. David is survived by his daughters and their families: Karen & Matt Essig and their sons, Treycin and Trevon of Aledo and Carrie Jo & Steven B. McQueen II and their children, Aubrey Batts, Steven Brian McQueen III and Gracie Julieann McQueen of Lowville, NY; a brother, Brad Cooper and wife, Daisy of Lebanon, IN; sisters, Becky Driscoll of Lake Elsinore, CA and Bonny Heinrichs and husband, Jerry of Aledo and his grandmother, Della McDonald of Havana, IL. David is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Milford & Martha Cooper.
