Patricia M. Rasmussen

Patricia M. Rasmussen, 78 of Moline, died Monday, August 25, 2008, after a long illness with Alzheimers at Marigold Health Care Center, Galesburg. Memorial Services will be held on Friday, September 12, 2008 at 11:00 AM at Speer Funeral Home, Aledo. Memorials may be made to the Marigold Health Care Center Alzheimers Unit or to the Alzheimers Association. Patricia was born on December 25, 1929 in Moline, Illinois to Ralph & Marguerite (Sellmer) Maharry. She was a graduate of Rock Island High School. Pat was a previous member of the Fifteenth Avenue Christian Church, where she enjoyed singing in the choir and for many weddings. Pat was employed with Ametek, Case IH and Younkers after retirement. She also enjoyed ballroom dancing and roller skating in earlier years. Pat loved many things, especially spending time with her friends of over 70 years: Susie Crawford, Dottie Conte, Nancey Hagan, Shirley Herman, Joan Mathis-Jones and Jeanie Jensen. These women all attended school together since Kindergarten and were life long friends. Pat’s family wishes to thank these ladies for their friendship and love. Pat is survived by her three children and spouses: Kathy & Thomas Wheatley of Aledo; Pam & Jim Stoll of Scottsdale, AZ and Brad Rank of Etna CA; 9 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren: Michele & Bill McAvoy of Aledo and their children, Savanna, Austin and one lovingly expected, Tanner Thomas; Chris Wheatley of Aledo; Bridget Rice of Wesley Chapel, FL and her son, Cayden; Heather Turner of Scottsdale, AZ and her son, Carson; Jessica & Tony De Caro of Franklin Park, IL; Lisa Stoll of Scottsdale, AZ; Kimberley Quillin of San Diego CA; Kristi & Gerard Aque of Rancho Santa margarita, CA and Lindsey Rank of Etna, CA. Pat was preceded in death by her parents; husband Robert Rasmussen and a brother and sister-in-law, Ralph “Sonny” & Paula Maharry.
