Carolyn Sheats Wedean

Carolyn Sheats Wedean, age 61, of Atlanta, formerly of Aledo, passed away Saturday, November 19, 2005. Services will be held Thursday, December 1, 2005 at 11:00 am at Speer Funeral Home in Aledo, Illinois. Inurnment will be in Aledo Cemetery. Carolyn was born November 10, 1944 in Aledo to George & Evelyn (Willits) Sheats. Her family has been long time residents of Mercer County, beginning with the Willits in the 1830’s and the Sheats in the 1850’s. Carolyn graduated from the University of Iowa with a Master’s Degree in Nursing and was currently employed with Kaiser Permanente. She has resided in Atlanta, George since 1977. Carolyn is survived by her son, Kenton Wedean and daughter, Kristin Wedean, both of Atlanta and a brother, George Sheats of Phoenix, AZ. Her parents preceded her in death. She is deeply loved and will forever be missed.
