Howard B. Searle

Howard B. Searle, 84 of Aledo died Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at Genesis Medical Center, West Campus. Private entombment will be in the Chapel of Eternity at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Speer Funeral Home, Aledo is assisting the family. Howard was born on January 10, 1928 in Geneseo, Illinois to Byron B. & Ida (Pobanz) Searle. He married L. Barbara Gibbs on December 11, 1945 in Horton, Kansas. She preceded him in death on June 3, 2002. Howard was a bus mechanic for many years and also enjoyed farming. Howard is survived by his daughters, Sally Koczan of Maplewood, MO and Nancy (Kenneth) Surdez of Lyndon, IL; 5 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; brother, John Searle and a son-in-law, Jerry Koczan.
