Gary Lewis Hill

Gary Hill, 88, of North Henderson, died Sunday, August 14, 2005 at OSF, St. Mary Medical Center, Galesburg. Private services were held at German Cemetery, Sherrard, IL on Tuesday, August 16, 2005. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Alexis/North Henderson Ambulance in care of Farmers State Bank, PO Box 249, Alexis IL 61412. Speer Funeral Home, Aledo was in charge of arrangements. Gary was born on March 2, 1917 to John W. and Elizabeth (Schoening) Hill in Richland Grove Township. Gary was a carpenter by trade. He was an avid and competent outdoorsman. Gary is survived by friends: Bill & Carol Totten of Alexis; several nieces and nephews, including Rita Haizlip and Ralph Hill, both of Aledo. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Ruth Veeder; brothers, Robert and Ralph Hill, Sr and a half brother, Robert Hill.
