Helen Olga Celske, 83 of Aledo, formerly of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, died peacefully on Monday, September 18, 2012 at her son’s home. Services celebrating Helen’s life will be held on Monday October 1, 2012 at 1:00 PM at the Forest Hill Memorial Park Chapel in Oak Creek, Wisconsin. Speer Funeral Home, Aledo, assisted the family locally.
Helen was born on August 29, 1929 in Silverdale, Wisconsin to Herbert & Olga (Gilani) Ward. She married Casimer (Casey) John Celske on August 7, 1948. From this union, 11 children were born. They later divorced, but had recently renewed their vows and had their relationship blessed.
Helen was a devoted mother to her 11 children, but also worked as a nurses aid, cook and a packer/loader for EZ Painter Corporation in St. Francis, Wisconsin.
Helen was a skilled bowler, winning many awards and trophies in her youth. She was talented at crocheting and was well known for her delicious peanut butter cookies and cinnamon rolls. She raised numerous dogs and found much pleasure in caring for and playing with them throughout her lifetime. Her true joy in life came from being a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
Those left to cherish Helen’s memory include her husband, Casey; 10 children and spouses: Carey Celske, Ladysmith, WI; Larry Celske, Milwaukee, WI; Christine Frieboth, South Milwaukee, WI ; Lynda & Tom Edwards, South Milwaukee, WI; Lee & Cindi Celske, Aledo, IL; Curtis Celske & Fiancé, Nancy Burkel, Cudahy, WI; Laura Paul, Holcombe, WI; Craig & Chantal Celske, Aledo, IL; Lyle Celske, Aledo, IL Lenny Celske & companion Molly Boynton, Aledo, IL; 15 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Evelyn Albright and a daughter, Cindy Celske in 1976.
