William G. Seaton

William “Bill” G. Seaton, 56 of Roeland Park, Kansas, died Saturday, October 27, 2007 at his home. Services in Kansas will be Thursday at 7 PM at the Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee, with visitation one hour prior to services. Local services will be held on Saturday, November 3rd at 10:30 AM at the Center Presbyterian Church, Seaton, IL, with visitation one hour prior to services. Burial will be in Candor Cemetery, rural Seaton. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left to the American Heart Association or the Kansas City Zoo. Speer Funeral Home, Aledo is assisting the family with local arrangements. Bill was born on November 20, 1950 in Monmouth, Illinois to John C. & Doris (Carlson) Seaton. He attended Wentworth Military Academy in Lexington, Missouri for four years. Bill graduated from Park College in Parkville, Missouri. He was previously married to Kathy Butte, and from this union two children, Kent & John Charles Seaton,III were born. He married Julie Halford. She preceded him in death on April 2, 2007. Bill was retired from TWA Airlines, having started working for them during his last year of college, and WorldSpan. Bill was a loyal Kansas City Chiefs and Royals fan, as well as the college teams across Kansas. Bill and his wife Julie had enjoyed volunteering at the Kansas City Zoo. Bill is survived by his son, Kent Seaton and his wife, Charity of Parkville, MO; Grandchildren, Nate, Galen and Zoe; his mother, Doris Seaton of Moline;2 step-children: David Halford of Chicago and Wendy & Mark Miller and their children, Courtney, Lauren and Maddie of Omaha, NE; 2 sisters and their husbands, Terry & Chuck Petit of Agoura Hills, Ca and Barbara and Mike Downes of Davenport; Nieces, Megan and Meredith Petit and Rebecca Downes and Nephews, Bradley Downes and Michael Petit. He was preceded in death by his father, John Charles Seaton, Jr and a son, John Charles Seaton, III and his wife, Julie.
