Colleen Willits, 80 of Muscatine, formerly of New Boston, died Saturday at Carrington Place of Muscatine. Graveside Services for Colleen Willits are Tuesday at 1:00 PM at New Boston Cemetery. Visitation is Tuesday from 10 to 12 at Speer Funeral Home, Aledo. Memorials may be made to the Colleen Willits Memorial Fund.
Colleen was born on July 9, 1927 in New Boston, Illinois to Willis & Florence (Louck) Cameron. She married Marion Robert Willits on June 7, 1945 in Aledo, Illinois. He preceded her in death on November 19, 1982.
Colleen was a devoted homemaker to her 11 children and many grandchildren. She enjoyed going to yardsales, adding to her cup and saucer collection and watching John Wayne Movies. She was a previous member of the New Boston Order of the Eastern Star and the New Boston United Methodist Church.
Colleen is survived by 9 children and their spouses: Bruce Willits of Ohio, Trudy & Steve Lafever of Reynolds, Stephen Willits of New Boston, Blaine & Teena Willits of Gower, MO, Lynn “Doug” & Martha Willits of Carbon Cliff, Brian & Lori Willits of Gladstone, Mark & Patsy Willits of New Boston, Lisa Seefeld of Urbandale, IA and Amy Terrill of Muscatine; 19 Grandchildren: Christine & John Burmel, Salli & Dennis Graham, Stephanie & Terry Leonard, Brandon Lafever, Kelsey Lafever, Nicholas Willits, Nathan Willits, John Willits, Erica Willits, Kathryn Willits, Victor Hastings, Lacey Kindheart, haley Willits, Travis Olson, Justin Willits, Jacci Willits, Jacob Seefeld, Jared Seefeld and Courtney Terrill and 6 great-grandchildren: Duncan & Madison Graham, Sydnie & Kassidy Leonard, Fisher Herold and Michael Kindheart. Colleen was preceded in death by her parents; husband; 2 children: John Robert Willits and Carol Ann Willits; and siblings: Mary King, John Cameron, Juanita Loe, Gene Cameron and Kenny Cameron.
