Kenneth L. Lockmiller

Funeral services for Kenneth L. Lockmiller, 73 of Aledo will be Wednesday at 2:00 PM at Speer Funeral Home, with visitation one hour prior to services. Burial will be in Viola Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Trinity Presbyterian Church, Aledo. Kenneth died on Sunday, February 20, 2011 at the Roseville Rehab and Healthcare Center. Kenneth was born on March 26, 1937 on the family farm in Mercer Township, Mercer County, Illinois to George & Edrena (Stoner) Lockmiller. He had served in the US Army Reserves. Kenneth was previously married to the former Anna Ruggles. Kenneth was employed at the Rock Island Farmall Plant before being transferred to Ohio, where he retired from Navistar in 1999. Kenneth enjoyed fishing, dancing and bowling in earlier years and also enjoyed antique vehicles. Kenneth is survived by his son and his family: Darin & Julie Lockmiller and their children: Cheyanne, Cierra & Dakota; 2 sisters: Gertrude (Louis) Wagner of Joy and Ruth Hobbs of Portland, Oregon and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
